Memory Quilts
Memory quilts tell such a story, and always, always touch your heart. They are wonderful gifts for anniversaries, weddings and Mother's Day. I made this one for my son and his lovely bride. It includes their pictures as infants, toddlers, teens and when they first met. It also includes family members that are no longer with us, dearly loved and terribly missed and the final block was a photo of their wedding invitation. The bells, cake and dress were beaded in silver beads and seed pearls; the center of each cornerstone has an ivory button topped with beads. Memory quilts are very heartfelt gifts and can be quite emotional. Memory quilts can also include articles of clothing.
Last week I went to a Baby shower with signature blocks for the guests to sign, add their wishes and kind words to the new parents to be. It's a cute wallhanging that matches the baby's room.
