Quilted T-Shirts
If you're like most of us you have a collection of t-shirts from concerts, sporting events, motorcycle events, car shows, marathons, national parks and the list just keeps on going. My quilts are not limited to t-shirts; we can use sweatshirts, sport jerseys and the occasional jacket and hat. Most of the blocks are 14" squared and I will go larger if we are trying to save images and text or if the shirts are larger in size. On the same token I will go to a smaller block for children's t-shirts. All shirts are stabilized so that they do not stretch or pull out of square and they are all sashed with a complementary fabric. Each quilt is made as though I am keeping it and I only use quilt shop quality fabrics. I typically use warm and natural for the batting, and they are all quilted on the longarm providing years of durability and warmth.
